What is the range of an electric scooter?
Current electric scooter ranges vary between 20 and 30km, or 15-20 miles. The range will vary dependent on speeds travelled at, and length of charge prior. Are e-scooters legal in the UK?
Yes, electric kick scooters are legal in the UK, you just need to ensure you stick to the road and observe the same rules as cyclists are required to observe. When on an e-scooter you are essentially a vehicle and not a pedestrian. That means it would be illegal to cross at a zebra crossing with your newly bought electric scooter, just as it would be illegal to a Tesla Cybertruck across one.
How fast can an electric scooter go?
While custom modified electric scooters can be tuned to operate up to 25-30 mph, these are rare to find. Most on the market e-scooters within our store and others cap out at around 15.5 mph. With the UK regulators requesting that those scooters that are brought onto the market are not made to exceed that figure.
How to charge electric scooters?
With a full charge time, between 5 and 9 hours, you will see most owners of electric scooters using an at-home charging point. Doing this overnight from your home network will also ensure the most affordable electricity pricing.
